This piece was a storyboard-style production design drawing for the uncompleted animated science fiction film Internal Transfer (circa 1985). This piece was published in the Moebius art book Fusion (Marvel/Epic Comics, 1995) on page 17 along with five other storyboard-style production design drawings for the film.
