The out-of-print catalog of the great exhibition at la Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine. This exhibition explored the urban planning/architectural history of Paris combining historical photos, architectural plans, renderings, and documents from the 1850s through the 1960s with the drawings of Francois Schuiten.

The idea of this exhibition is to engage in lively manner a set of old or recent utopian representations of Paris (drawings, paintings, models) and the many images made by François Schuiten around Paris.

François Schuiten and Benoît Peeters: "The exhibition's aim is to hold a dialogue between our work and the projects of architects and urban planners created over the last two centuries. Horeau, Perret, Le Corbusier and many others attempted to reinvent Paris pragmatically and provocatively. A journey to the land of possibilities, Revoir Paris is the occasion to freely dream about the capital's future."

From the publisher:

From November 2014 to March 2015, François Schuiten and Benoît Peeters invest la Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine in Paris to give their view on the visions of Paris for two centuries: Haussmann paths leading to the Grand Paris project, through utopias of Robida and Perret, or projects by Le Corbusier or Jean Nouvel ... Alongside these historical documents, the exhibition presents the work of François Schuiten from the City of Light to Revoir Paris. Revoir Paris - l'exposition is the indispensable catalog for those who have seen the show, or those who have not had the chance to visit it.
