A thick out-of-print slipcased hardcover collection of Frazetta's obscure and diverse comic book stories of the 1950s.

From the publisher:

Fantasy art's most popular painter was also one of the finest comic book illustrators in the pre-code 1950s. Telling Stories celebrates the rare and largely forgotten stories created [seven] decades ago by this iconic artist.

This collection includes:

    • the complete Thunda
    • his best romance comics, such as "Untamed Love," "Empty Heart," "A Love of My Own," "The Wrong Road," and "Too Late for Love"
    • combat tales
    • funny animals
    • White Indian stories and covers
    • Ghost Rider covers
    • war comics from Heroic Comics
    • the Shining Knight from DC's Adventure Comics
    • his only solo-drawn story for EC "Squeeze Play" complete with a special introduction
    • Captain Comet, a rare pre-code SF story with Al Williamson
    • Judy of the Jungle, a pre-Thunda jungle heroine
    • one, two and three page stories from the late 1940s--some of his best and most obscure works
    • and much, much more.

The romance stories, often overlooked, feature some of Frazetta's finest works with shapely women, nude statues, and implied sex.

All stories are newly colored. The 18-page introduction provides an overview of Frank's comic book career, from his first in Tally Ho Comics to his solo works for Warren magazines and Witzend. The introduction is beautifully illustrated with original black-and-white pages.
