Back in the early 1980s, when Another Rainbow launched the world-famous Carl Barks Library, it was decided to run off some extra color copies of the color plates used in printing the set and they were packaged into portfolios.

The portfolio of art contained in this envelope reproduces twenty-seven covers, from The Carl Barks Library of Walt Disney's Uncle Scrooge (Set V), which originally appeared on the front covers of Uncle Scrooge comic books from 1963-1967. The later Gold Key Uncle Scrooge logo has been replaced on all covers with the far superior, classic 1950s Dell logo to enhance the presentation of the art. All of the covers, all drawn by Barks, appear in a large 12.75' x 9.25' format to further add to their frameability. Every effort has been made to make these untrimmed recreations look as if Carl had colored them himself.

Also included in this portfolio is a copy of the slipcase cover, originally drawn by Barks as an alternate cover for Uncle Scrooge 56 and published on the inside front cover of that comic in black and white. It appears here and in Set V of the Library in color for the first time.
