From the publisher:

Paul Dainton's art is rich in color and emotion, but also in the smell of battle and the heat of blood. Immerse yourself in drama and action with every turn of the page.

Paul Dainton was Games Workshop's most prolific artist during the 4th and 5th editions of Warhammer 40K. His drawings adorned many books and codexes, and could be found every time a new box of units was purchased. This made him an iconic Games Workshop artist.

His artistic style is based on a sense of abstraction, just like the John Blanche legend. However, he also manages to incorporate realism into the hazy aspect of battle. Paul Dainton's work generally focuses on a central figure surrounded by a “dirty” world.

This is the sixth volume in the Sketch.Box collection, an exclusive and unprecedented project that Editions Caurette and Spiridon Giannakis have set up together. Their aim is to work with artists to create an incredible collection of sketchbooks. Each book will showcase the talents of an extraordinary illustrator, and will delight art collectors and connoisseurs alike.
